Definitions
"Refund" means the repayment to the purchaser of all or a portion of a fare, rate or charge for unused carriages or service.
'Involuntary refund' means a refund of an unused ticket or portion therefore or an unused miscellaneous charges order where carriage is refund because of:
• Flight cancellation
• Flight schedule change
• Over or under carriage
• Offloading
• Misconnection
• Safety or legal reasons
• Condition or conduct of passenger.
'Voluntary refund' means a refund of an unused ticket or portion therefore or an unused miscellaneous charges order other than an involuntary refund.
Limitations
General
Refund will be made only upon delivery of the passenger coupon and all unused flight coupons of the ticket to the carrier.
In case of refund, whether due to failure of the carrier to provide the accommodation called for on the ticket or to a voluntary change of arrangements by the passenger, the conditions and amount of refund will be governed by the carrier's tariffs.
Refund by the carrier for an unused ticket or portion therefore, (via AA/AC/) PTA, or Miscellaneous Charge Order will be made to the person named as the passenger on such document unless, at the time of purchase, the purchaser designates another person to whom refund shall be made. In such a case, refund will be made to persons so designated. (The carrier will not be liable to the true passenger for another refund.)
